CPAmerica International Announces 2017 Board of Directors

Gainesville, Fla. (December 19, 2016)CPAmerica International, an accounting association of independent certified public accounting firms, is proud to announce its 2017 board of directors. The new board will have its first meeting of the year at CPAmerica’s office on Jan. 18 to discuss 2017 initiatives and other long-term goals.

J. Brad Steward, shareholder of Pulakos CPAs, PC., in Albuquerque, N.M., is the new chair of the board. He succeeds 2016 chair, Joseph Ciccarello, leading partner of Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP, in Canton, Mass.

“I am looking forward to an outstanding year representing the membership of CPAmerica International during my tenure as chairman of the board,” said J. Brad Steward. “With more than $900 million in combined membership revenue and more than 4,000 combined professionals throughout the United States, CPAmerica is an outstanding organization because of its members.”

Brian Malthouse, president of VonLehman & Company, Inc., has been elected to the vice chair/chair-elect position.

“Last year proved to be a great year and I’m looking forward to what this board will bring to the membership in 2017,” said Alan Deichler, president of CPAmerica. “As a member-driven association, the board represents the membership within CPAmerica.”

Among the nine elected board members, returning board members include, Joseph Ciccarello of Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP; J. Brad Steward of Pulakos CPAs, PC; Brian Malthouse of VonLehman & Company, Inc.; Timothy Arter of Brickley DeLong, PC; John Lauer of HBL CPAs, P.C.; Robert McGowen of McGowen, Hurst, Clark & Smith, P.C.; and Sharon Thompson of Hughes, Snell & Co., P.A.

The two newly-elected board members include Don Cowan of Cowan, Gunteski & Co., P.A.; and Ernie Gelpi of Kushner LaGraize, L.L.C.
