Pulakos CPAs, PC, (est. 1960), a locally-owned accounting firm, specializing in tax, audit and comprehensive business advisory services hosted its 7th Annual Green Chile Cheeseburger Day celebration. Nearly 700 burgers were served to guests on Friday, October 18, who also participated in a Colorado versus New Mexico Green Chile taste test.
New Mexico Green Chile was the unanimous choice of all participants. Some comments included, “No contest! New Mexico was better!” and “Don’t mess with Hatch!”
Green Chile Cheeseburger Day was started by Pulakos CPAs in 2012 to celebrate New Mexico favorite fruit. Over 300 burgers were served at the inaugural event with number increasing each year.
Pulakos CPAs’ Leading Partner, Brad Steward, CPA, CCIFP, opined, “I voted for New Mexico Green Chile over the Colorado version and I am not surprised that none of our guests disagreed. This was a great opportunity to share a bit of what makes New Mexico unique with clients and friends of the firm.”
Rex’s Hamburgers has catered all seven Green Chile Cheeseburger Day annual events. Guests sampled burgers, mac and cheese, fries, onion rings, salad and deserts.
