History
From our modest beginings in 1960 when George Pulakos started his own CPA firm, Pulakos CPAs has grown to be one of New Mexico’s largest certified public accounting and business consulting firms.
Today, Pulakos CPAs employs more than 35 professionals who offer a variety of traditional financial and accounting services as well as tax planning, management consulting, business valuation and other services. It’s the people at Pulakos CPAs which make us the client focused firm that we are today, and we are proud of our great tradition of giving back to our community. We have a passion for excellence and recognize that our clients must be successful for us to be successful.

Pulakos CPAs is a member of CPA America International, Inc., an exclusive organization of over 70 independent certified public accounting firms in the United States. Through its alliance with Horwath International, CPA America is part of the third largest accounting association in the world. This affiliation guarantees our clients access to the advice and resources of more than 12,000 industry professionals in over 90 countries around the world. These alliances give us the resources and expertise to offer services that are traditionally associated with large accounting organizations while allowing us to maintain our individuality and provide the personal attention and involvement our clients have come to expect and deserve. And, it helps us offer our staff national quality professional training.
Other Affiliations
Pulakos CPAs is also affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the premier national organization serving the accounting profession since 1887, and is also activley involved with the the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants. Most of our professionals are also members of various business organizations which provide specialized support for issues dealing with specific industries we serve.
